Solarsoft, a developer of business software solutions for manufacturers and distributors worldwide, is currently searching for a North American Strategic Account Director to help continue our global growth and success. The Strategic Account Director maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers and prospects. The Strategic Account Director is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.
The Strategic Account Director provides leadership to the
extended sales and service teams through the customer account
planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers' needs and
expectations are met by the company. The Strategic Account Director
reports to the Vice President of Sales for the Packaging Systems
Division. Ideally this position is based out of our Chicago office
location (although not essential for the right candidate) with
responsibilities for the packaging strategic client base and
prospects in North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key
personnel in assigned customer accounts- Director and Management
level through to the C-Suite
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including
support, service, and management resources, in order to meet
account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and
strategic objectives in assigned accounts
- Proactively leads a joint company strategic account planning
process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial
targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year
period.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs
on an ongoing basis.
- Leads solution development efforts that best address customer
needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company
personnel.
- Work with VP Sales and Director of Marketing to ensure
effective integration of content across account communication
channels and lead implementation of integrated programs and
campaigns.
- Develops relationship and ultimately gains new customers from
the remaining enterprise market opportunity in the North American
packaging sector.

- Achieves assigned sales quota in designated strategic
accounts.
- Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
- Achieves strategic customer objectives and high customer
satisfaction ratings defined by company management.
- Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company
standards.
- Completes required training and development objectives within
the assigned time frame.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experienced in strategic account leadership
- A passion for sales
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Strong understanding of software based solution sales,
- Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with
C-Level executive.
- Ability to independently understand and establish packaging
manufacturing client's requirement and sell the solution into the
client's organization including Senior Management.
- Experience translating functionality into benefits, benefits
into solutions, solutions into buying vision and buying visions
into closed business.
- Energetic, results oriented and self-motivated with excellent
communication skills
- ERP sales experience.
Organizational Alignment
- Reports to the VP Sales
- Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation
resources, service resources, and other sales and management
resources as needed.
- Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer
management.
- Works closely with Customer Support Representatives to ensure
customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
Qualifications
- Four year college or university degree from an accredited
institution
- Minimum ten years of strategic sales experience in a
business-to- business sales environment.
- Proven history of quota attainment
