Tropos clients and Company personnel meet for the annual Solarsoft Golf Event
For the 7th year running, the sun came out on cue as Tropos clients and Company personnel met for the annual Solarsoft Golf Event at The Golf House Club, Elie, Fife in Scotland.
Golfers (both keen and beginners) met for an afternoon of
friendly competition after a hearty buffet lunch in the Club House.
Clients from successful Tropos users Kettle Produce, Ian MacLeod
Distillers, Broxburn Bottlers, Morrison Bowmore Distillers, Burn
Stewart Distillers, Bruichladdich Distillery, BenRiach Distillery,
Gordon & MacPhail, Tullis Russell and Glendale Foods joined
Solarsoft staff on the day.
The 15 experienced golfers teed off for a
challenging 18 holes whilst 15 beginners and non-golfers reported
to the two resident professionals for tuition followed by a 9 hole
competition.
The course provides wonderful views across the Firth of Forth
and represents a real test for golfers of any ability. The opening
hole requires a blind tee shot and the use of a 30ft periscope from
HMS Excalibur to ensure that the way is clear!
After a great afternoon's golf, competitors met for an informal
dinner at the Ship Inn overlooking Elie Harbour, enjoying fine
local produce and a whisky bar stocked with contributions from
Solarsoft's Tropos customers. Entertainment was provided by
the famous whisky singer/song writer Robin Laing (www.robinlaing.com).
