Solarsoft revolutionizes quality control for Uniq
As a manufacturer for some of the leading chilled food brands, Uniq relies on Solarsoft's Tropos to provide sophisticated quality control and traceability to meet the high demands placed on its products and manufacturing processes.
In the past, quality control and traceability were managed using
unwieldy and slow paper-based systems. Now Tropos traces
ingredients throughout the entire manufacturing process,
dramatically reducing the need for paper and improving
flexibility.
A daily schedule of about 150 batches that used to be planned on
paper is now in the computer. Staff can adjust production quickly
to meet changes in demand, and Tropos will automatically adjust the
preparation schedule so that every batch is fresh and product
quality is maintained.
"The system's batch management means that, if we get an inquiry
about what went into any product, we can find out in minutes.
Before, it could take days," explains Stan Slater, Uniq Factory
manager.
