Toyotetsu North America leverages Solarsoft's advanced automotive functionality
Toyotetsu North America meets Toyota Production System standards using Solarsoft’s automation and integration of key functionality, like EDI, inventory and financials. “Since we’ve had Solarsoft in place we’ve reduced inventory and improved accuracy. We’re at 98% inventory accuracy,” says Donnie Slagle, GM Business Development, Toyotetsu.
Toyotetsu North America's plants are each dedicated suppliers to
a nearby Toyota facility. Lead times at all plants are short, and
each carries only 4-6 hours of finished goods inventory on hand at
any one point, requiring tight control over inventory movements and
levels.
Solarsoft provides Toyotetsu the integrated functionality needed
to meet typical automotive OEM requirements, including EDI,
inventory management, production reporting, along with unique
capabilities the company leverages to handle demands more specific
to Toyota's expectations.
A capability Toyotetsu uses within Solarsoft that wasn't seen
with any other ERP solution is 'supply chain direct.' This allows a
Toyotetsu supplier to collaborate with, and ship directly to Toyota
on Toyotetsu's behalf, with the entire process (EDI, orders,
forecasts, ASNs) flowing through the Solarsoft system.
