Fair-Rite's legacy business system offered no real-time
inventory information or real shop floor reporting. Shipping labels
were manually typed, and cycle counting was a time-consuming manual
task.
In 2000, the shortfalls of the legacy system and the high cost
to upgrade led Fair-Rite to evaluate new ERP options. Fair-Rite
